I just heard a recent statistic that over 50% of divorces today mention Facebook or Twitter in the filing.  I’m actually surprised that it isn’t even more than that!  Let me be clear: I love Facebook and Twitter and our social media world.  But I don’t love the way it has caused our communication to suffer.

Because of this, we’re attacking this head-on at NCC.  No, we’re not attacking social media.  Throwing out the baby with the bathwater is always a bad idea.  Blanket statements are always harmful (except that one).  What we are going to do is take a look at how social media has changed our society and make sure that we try to use it in a way that is in-line with how we live in the context of how we follow Jesus.

So, starting this weekend at NCC, we are beginning a new series called SHUT YOUR FACE. book.  If you use social media, join us!
