SHUT YOUR FACE. book.

31 Aug

I just heard a recent statistic that over 50% of divorces today mention Facebook or Twitter in the filing.  I’m actually surprised that it isn’t even more than that!  Let me be clear: I love Facebook and Twitter and our social media world.  But I don’t love the way it has caused our communication to suffer.

Because of this, we’re attacking this head-on at NCC.  No, we’re not attacking social media.  Throwing out the baby with the bathwater is always a bad idea.  Blanket statements are always harmful (except that one).  What we are going to do is take a look at how social media has changed our society and make sure that we try to use it in a way that is in-line with how we live in the context of how we follow Jesus.

So, starting this weekend at NCC, we are beginning a new series called SHUT YOUR FACE. book.  If you use social media, join us!

Peace,

Neil

I’m so deeply humbled and honored by your kind words and spirit. Thank you for taking time to encourage so many people, Delilah. You give so many fuel for their long journeys and it is a pleasure to be on this trek with you.
